Nardya Miller
Nardya Miller, 25, has lived with Cystic Fibrosis her whole life but two years ago her only hope of getting any quality of life rested on a bilateral lung transplant.
The transplant was initially a success, but then Nardya’s body began to reject the new lungs.
‘The lungs started to fail, over and over again requiring treatments she never thought she would have to go though,’ Nardya’s fiancé, Liam Fitzgerald, told the Sunshine Coast Daily.

Now, having been given a week to live, Nardya is getting the word out about the importance of organ donation.
Low donor rates, and the chances of chronic rejection syndrome, make life-saving organ transplants a challenge.
‘The only way people will ever have a second chance at life is to be an organ donor.’
Nardya’s cousin, Tachae Douglas-Miller, says despite the grim prognosis Nardya is still ‘witty, humorous and talkative’.
‘Although we all know what the reality is.’
