Preheat oven to 160C (140C fan forced). Line a 20cm square cake pan with baking paper, extending paper over the edges by 2cm.

Combine flour and cocoa powder in a bowl. Make a well in the centre and add butter, vanilla, eggs and maple syrup. Whisk until well combined.

3.

Pour into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 min or until cooked when tested with a skewer. Cool in pan slightly before cutting into 4cm squares to serve. Serve with sliced fresh berries and a dust of cocoa.
