Burger Patty Rolls with Pickled Red Onions

Frozen burger patties make a quick meal that the kids will love.

Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook beef patties for 5-6 min each side or until cooked through. Drain on paper towel.

Meanwhile, heat an under stove grill to high. Top roll bases with cheese slices and place under the grill for 2 min or until melted.

3.

Slice beef patties in half and place 2 pieces on top of each of the melted cheese roll bases and top with tomato, rocket and a few pickled onion slices.

4.

Spread aioli over bread tops and place on top to sandwich together. Serve immediately with your favourite Kettle style barbecue chips on the side.

Pickled Red Onions

Combine in a screw-top jar 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar, 2 teaspoons caster sugar, 1 teaspoon sea salt and 2/3 cup warm water. Shake to combine. Add 1 finely sliced red onion. Stand for 30-40 min before use. Make up to 2 weeks ahead, refrigerate until required. Drain onions before using.
