Doctors in Chennai have removed a squirming cockroach from a woman’s skull after it became stuck, having crawled up her nose during the night.
The woman, called Selvi, says she awoke to a scratchy feeling in her nose and made her son-in-law take her to the doctor.

‘There was a tingling, crawling sensation. Whenever it moved, it gave me a burning sensation in my eyes,’ she told the New Indian Express.
The creepy crawly had apparently burrowed so far that it was up between her eyes, perilously close to her brain.
It was eventually dragged out with a minuscule pair of tweezers, attached to an endoscope.
Doctors say if it had died in there and not been removed it could very easily have caused a fatal infection.
