This week, Noisey revealed that the song, Mr Brightside, by American band The Killers has been in the top 100 charts every year since it’s release in 2004. Not even Elton John, Adele or Beyonce have that sort of track record.
It has charted 166 times and counting and in January this year, suddenly spiked to number 49 – it’s highest position in three years.
As to why the song has such staying power, no one really knows!
