The most popular baby name in the US has been announced and it will surprise you.
Biotechnologist David Taylor shared on his blog Proofreader Plus that the most popular baby name was Linda.
The top 100 names were from the U.S. Social Security Administration database.
Although the name Linda might not be hugely trendy nowadays, there was a huge spike in its popularity in 1947, the year after Jack Lawrence’s song ‘Linda’ hit the charts.
The most popular boys name was Dewey.
Last year’s most popular girls baby name in Australia was Charlotte. Oliver was the most popular boys name.
Classic names like Grace, Sophie, and Olivia have made the top 10 for girls while Thomas, James, and Jack are in the top 10 for boys.
