A passerby thought she’d succumbed to the cold
When police received a call from a upset member of the public who’d spotted an elderly woman apparently frozen to death in a car, they quickly responded.
But after smashing the vehicle’s passenger seat window, the officers from Hudson City in New York state, were in for a surprise.
The ‘victim’ was actually a life-sized mannequin, complete with age spots, teeth and and glasses.
The dummy, which was used for medical training, even had its own oxygen mask.
Police said the owner of the car was ‘not happy’ with police for breaking the window, but they told the unlucky salesman to ‘carry [his] mannequin a little better.’
