Police in the small Canadian town of Prince Edward are punishing drunk drivers by making them listen to rock group, Nickelback, all the way to the station.
The threat was announced in a post on the Kensington Police Service Facebook page.
‘The Kensington Police Service will be out for the remainder of year looking for those dumb enough to feel they can drink and drive,’ it reads. ‘And when we catch you, and we will catch you, on top of a hefty fine, a criminal charge and a years driving suspension we will also provide you with a bonus gift of playing the office’s copy of Nickelback in the cruiser on the way to jail.’
Would Aussie cops ever try something like this? Maybe someday, somehow.
