‘Missing’ Queensland teen responds to Police call out for her on Facebook

Concerned Facebookers leapt to action when Queensland Police posted this photo of a 17-year-old girl thought missing from the Brisbane suburb of Carindale.

It wasn’t long before the teen was found – but not because of the efforts of the community – but rather because Erian logged on and told the Police she was ‘legit just sitting in my bedroom’.

The police replied saying they’re glad she is safe, however to take down the notice she needs to visit a police station.

A Queensland police spokesperson told the Daily Mail that Erian was indeed safe and sound and is no longer considered missing.

Erian described the missing persons report as an ‘over reaction’ following a fight with her sister but no further details were given.
