Having someone cut in line in front of you is one of the most frustrating experiences. Not only is it rude – but who do they think they are? Did they not see you? Why are they so important?

For some of us we would say something and teach the impolite queue-hopper some manners. But for others though, like this man from Tauranga NZ, keeping calm is the way to go. And sometimes, it can pay off. Big time.

When he finally got to the front of the line he bought himself a lotto ticket which ended up bagging him $1 million.

‘I wasn’t in any hurry, so I just let them go ahead and didn’t say anything,’ he told the New Zealand Herald.

‘I guess good karma pays off – if that hadn’t happened, they might have had the winning ticket not me.’

The man, who prefers to remain unnamed, said he and his wife were delighted and plan to use the money to buy a house.
