Following the advice of medical professionals, the Duchess eventually decided against it, and had her second child in hospital.

Now, Kate is planning to have her third child at home.

If this happens, she will not be the first royal to do so. The Queen also gave birth to all four of her children at home, in Buckingham Palace.

Home birth would mean that Kate will not have to face paparazzi before and after the birth.
