They say you shouldn’t speak ill of the dead, but one family weren’t afraid to hold back.
Relatives of Leslie Ray Charping, who died aged 75, wrote that his death was proof that ‘evil does pass’ in a blistering obituary on a funeral home website.
According to the New York Post, their eulogy said Charping’s two children were relieved he had passed and that he left behind ‘countless other victims including an ex-wife, relatives, friends, neighbours, doctors, nurses and random strangers.’
Charping, from Texas, was described as a ‘model example of bad parenting’ who lived ’29 years longer than expected and much longer than he deserved.’
Listed hobbies included being abusive to his family and ‘expediting trips to heaven for his pets’ and fishing.
‘Leslie’s life served no other obvious purpose, he did not contribute to society or serve his community and he possessed no redeeming qualities besides quick sarcasm, which was amusing during his sober days,’ the obituary read.
