A Gold Coast family were rescued from their roof by SES workers just in time to watch their house float away in devastating floodwaters.

According to the ABC, a mum and two kids were rescued from the rooftop along with another man and two dogs by emergency workers in a small boat.
Over 30,000 properties in Queensland and northern New South Wales were ordered to evacuate as water levels rose in the wake of Cyclone Debbie.
At least four people have died as a result of the cyclone and after effects, reports Nine.
