The West Australian reported that the car dropped two meters from the embankment into the water, causing a large splash which attracted passersby.

Two people climbed into the river to help the woman climb out of her car.

She was uninjured, but shaken by the event.

She told police she lost control of the car when she was checking her GPS directions.

Snr. Constable Rob Townsend said it just goes to show what happens when drivers lose concentration behind the wheel.

‘A moment’s inattention can lead to absolutely anything,’ he said.
