A dad has just shared a hilarious video where he lullabies his baby son to sleep by describing what he gets up to a work every day.
While holding his baby son Carter on his hip, dad Kevin Payne explains what his job as a Technology Resilience Manager at a bank.
‘Carter is not a good sleeper and I cannot carry a tune so rather than sing him to sleep I just talk about work until he drifts off,’ says the dad.
‘My wife Eryn thinks I’m an idiot, a funny idiot though, and she loved this.’
The video starts with Kevin explaining what a technology resilience manager does.
‘We ensure that various applications in the bank, based on criticality have sustained, built in resiliency between data centres…’
You asleep yet? Yeah, it’s pretty dry stuff!
He hilariously peppers his description with advice for his baby boy.
‘Are you paying attention? This could be you one day if you’re lucky,’ he says, nudging his son awake.
But no matter how he tries, little Carter can’t keep his eyes open and is soon dead to the world.
‘So, if you work hard enough, you too can work on weekends. Does that sound good? Yeah?’ he asks a snoozing baby.
‘Love you.’
It really is the cutest little video – but maybe don’t watch it unless you want to nod off too!
