A Cirque du Soleil acrobat has suffered a deathly fall this weekend while performing in Tampa, USA.
According to TMZ, the talented performer later died at a hospital after his aerial stunt went tragically wrong.
The news website reports that the acrobat has been named as Yann Arnaud, who he tumbled onto the stage during an aerial straps piece on Saturday night.
As expected, the following night’s performance was cancelled after the sad event.
“The entire Cirque du Soleil family is in shock and devastated by this tragedy,” said Daniel Lamarre, president and CEO of Cirque Du Soleil Group.
“Yann had been with us for over 15 years and was loved by all who had the chance to know him.”
A video of the incident has since surfaced online.
