Aussie mum mown down in London attack while visiting daughter

One of the victims has been identified as Australian.

A mum from South Australia was among the 40 people mown down in an attack on Westminster Bridge that left four people, including a police officer he stabbed, dead.

Trish Neis-Beer was visiting her daughter in London, and had planned a trip to Spain, when the car sped along the bridge and ran over her foot, reports 7 News.

Foreign minister, Julie Bishop, confirms she is recovering in hospital.

The attack left London shocked after the attacker crashed the car onto the bridge before running toward the Houses of Parliament, and fatally stabbing Keith Palmer, a police offer guarding the gate.

The attacker was shot, and later died in hospital.
