Connor Irvin, 7, has become the latest victim of a quad bike crash after he turned a corner on his family’s farm and fell off.
A family friend who was riding on the bike behind Connor survived the accident. Both boys were wearing helmets.
Connor’s family, including his twin brother Bailey, were watching as the crash occurred and tried desperately to save his life.
‘He was a very special, soft boy who loved his twin brother Bailey and his sister Shenaye and loved his dad’s farm,’ said a statement from the family.

There have been calls to introduce minimum riding ages and to introduce licenses as Connor’s death is the 108th quad bike death in six years.
Connor’s sister Shenaye wrote an online tribute: ‘Fly high my blue eyed angel …. Promise I’ll look after your best mate until you’re together again.’
