The victim of an alleged sexual assault bit her attacker’s penis after he held up a knife to her and started to assault her.
Dennis Slaton, 61, has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping after the incident which took place in Greenville, South Carolina, in August.
It’s reported that Slaton, who is a registered sex offender, is being treated for injury which he describes as ‘pretty tragic.’
An incident report from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office was obtained by Greenville News and says the alleged victim told police she was waiting to be picked up when she saw Slaton’s white van driving outside a motel and motioned for him to pull over.
She claims to have willingly got into his car but immediately felt something wasn’t right and asked him to drop her off.
The reported stated that the woman offered him $5 for the lift, which he said ‘OK’ to.
But as the man continued to drive, he whipped out a knife and held it to the woman’s throat, shouting that she owed him $300 (roughly $440 AUS).
The woman then claims he drove her to his home, allegedly sexually assaulting her and threatening to kill her ‘after he was done with her.’
Fighting to escape, she then bit Slaton’s penis, severing the organ, before grabbing the knife and stabbing him in the buttocks.
She then fled naked from the scene, begging neighbours for help before running to a restaurant who allowed her to stay until police arrived.
Slaton received surgery on the injury and told local media, ‘It was pretty bad, pretty tragic, what happened to me.’
He was first registered as a sex offender in 1989 and has previous convictions of sodomy and attempted rape.
He has been released from custody and the case is currently ongoing.
