A woman has reached out to the thief who raided her freezer begging them to return a Tupperware container that contained her son’s placenta – but fears that he may already have eaten it.
Loralie Burns was busy moving into her new house when she received a disturbing call from her previous landlord, reports Stuff.
The Auckland mother had her washing machine and freezer at the old property and was going to pick them up – but tragically someone had broken in and raided the vacant house, taking off a few bits and pieces including frozen food in her freezer.
Sadly among the items stolen was a Tupperware container that held her son’s frozen placenta.
She had kept it, planning to bury it with the ashes of her late mother when they found a suitable spot.
Taking to Facebook, Loralie is begging the thief to return it but has one terrible fear: they may have eaten it.
‘I hope to God I get it back, and I hope no one eats it – that would torment me for a long time,’ she says.
‘I presume the only reason they stole it would be to eat it.’
The container is apparently labelled with Loralie’s contact information – so hopefully whoever the thief is does the right thing.
