Toddler died after returning to burning house to save his puppy

So tragic

A toddler has tragically died after running back into a burning house to rescue his puppy.

Lokey Nicholi Mason Sharp was aged just one when he ran through the deadly flames to save his family pet.

It’s understood that once the family, including Lokey’s parents Kurtis and Caitlin, had escaped the inferno, they stood outside their Arkansas home calling for help.

But while they tried to put out the blaze themselves, they lost sight of their son who had run back inside the burning home to save his dog.

Sadly, Lokey and his puppy never made it out alive.

Sharing an emotional tribute to his son on Facebook, Kurtis wrote ‘ I just wanna stop here and say never take your children for granted’.

‘Cherish every waking moment with them!!!! We love u bubba and we know your in a better place’.

A GoFundMe fundraiser has been created to assist with Lokey’s funeral expenses.
