A care home resident boldly called a heavily pregnant Meghan Markle ‘fat’.
The Duchess of Sussex, 37, met staff and volunteers at the animal charity Mayhew when Peggy McEachrom made a bizarre comment.
‘What a lovely lady you are,’ McEachrom reportedly said. ‘May God bless you.’
‘And you’re a fat lady!’ she added, pointing to Meghan’s growing baby bump.
According to onlookers, the royal simply responded by laughing and said ‘I’ll take it!’
McEachrom also predicted that Meghan would be giving birth to a baby boy.
‘Glad to see you so well. You’ll soon be having a little baby boy!’ she said.
‘Oh, you think it’s going to be a boy?’ Meghan replied. ‘It’s a surprise. We don’t know what we’re having.’
