A litter of puppies have been found dumped in a plastic bag near a vacant lot.
A mother and daughter discovered the bag, which was located in Rosewood Grove in Dubbo, NSW’s Central West.
Sadly, two of the pups were already dead, but the other two were had survived the heartless act.
Since the rescue, a woman took to Facebook to post a snap of the pooches on a local community page.
She wrote, ‘Unfortunately two had already died (starvation, freezing or asphyxiation) before they were found.
‘I hope you know what pure scum you are and the absolute pain your mumma dog must be in right now. Mentally and physically.’
Accord to Yahoo News, the woman is an animal foster carer and has named the puppies Sarah and Stella.
The woman who found the dogs explained how she discovered the pups, writing, ‘They were covered in faeces and other gross stuff, we put them in my socks (gross I know but it’s all we had) … and she within half an hour had them warm, clean and fed.’
Desperate to find the puppies’ mum, an updated post from the foster carer urged for the dumper to come forward with the mother dog, stating that ‘no questions [will be] asked.’
‘She needs to be with her babies,’ she wrote.
Fortunately, Sarah and Stella are said to be ‘doing very well.’
Locals were outraged at the cruel abandonment, with one describing the dumper as ‘absolute grubs.’
