The surprising baby names BANNED in Australia

These names are off-limits!

Anal, Satan, Queen V, Juztice, Christ and 4real are just some of the names that have been banned in both Australia and New Zealand.

According to Australian law, a name can be rejected from being on a birth certificate for a number of different reasons. The guidelines also state that the name can’t be “obscene or offensive, make statements or phrases” or be “contrary to public interest” according to Births Deaths and Marriages Victoria. 

 

In addition, they also can’t “create confusion in the community, or be considered reasonably likely to insult, humiliate, offend or intimidate a person or group.” Names also can’t contain an official title or rank, which why names such as “King”, “Queen” or “Prime Minister” are not allowed.

New Zealand extends their rulings to misspellings of titles, with the country rejecting the names Juztice, Kingz and Royahl.
