Prosecco flavoured cheese is now a thing

This is NOT a drill.

It’s official – Prosecco-flavoured cheese exists!

The Great British Cheese Company has combined the two best things in the world – cheese and sparkling wine.

The Wensleydale with Raspberry & Prosecco is perfect for those with a sweet tooth. It’s a take on the best-selling Wensleydale with Cranberry that the company says is ‘super popular’ around Christmas time.

The company’s website describes the new product as having ‘a supple and crumbly texture and a milky freshness, paired with fruit such as cranberries, the acidity cuts through rich cheese resulting in a balanced flavour.’

This isn’t the first time this company has combined cheese and alcohol – one of their best selling products is The Drunken Monk. That cheese product is a delicious combination of ‘caramelised red onion, red wine and a hint of brandy.’

Unsurprisingly, the Wensleydale with Raspberry and Prosecco is currently out of stock. Hopefully it comes back in time for the holiday season!
