Mary Kay Letourneau was convicted of second-degree child rape in 1997, after it was revealed she was having a ‘relationship’ with her sixth-grade student, Vili Fualaau.
Letourneau, who was incarcerated from 1998 to 2004, has now told her side of the story in a brand new documentary.

The first bombshell Letourneau drops is that Fualaau was NOT her student when they began their affair.
She says, ‘There wasn’t anything going on at all when he was a student of mine.’
Letourneau claims their romance began while they were taking classes at the same community college.
After a class they were taking, the two decided to go out for food.
According to Letourneau, Fualaau asked her if he could kiss her, she accepted and that was that.

When Letourneau began her affair with Fualaau she was already a married mother-of-four. In March 1997, Letourneau was arrested after a relative of her husband notified police.
She gave birth to a daughter, Audrey, in May 1997, while out of jail on bail.
Letourneau plead guilty to two counts of second-degree rape and was sentenced to six months in jail.
As part of her plea bargain, Letourneau agreed to avoid any further contact with Fualaau.
Letourneau later violated that condition in 1998, when she became pregnant for the second time by Fualaau.
She was then sentenced to seven years in prison.
Today the couple are still married and live together in Washington State.
