Funeral directors in Quebec have been discussing how to curb the disturbing trend of funeral guests taking selfies at services.
Sadly despite signs asking for no photographs, or explicitly telling people ‘no selfies’, some people are determined to continue.
Funeral director Denis Desrochers people are hiding their phones until they pass by the casket and then snap a quick selfie, before uploading them to social media.
While funeral directors aren’t against photographs at funerals, they consider uploading them to social media to be considered in very poor taste and detrimental to the dignity of their late loved one.
