It’s understood that the 18-year-old boy from Victoria had been celebrating with friends at the Hilton Hotel before falling to his death from the 42nd-floor apartment.

A crime scene was established by Queensland Police at Schoolies Central where the teenager died but the incident is not being treated as suspicious.

It’s reported that horrified onlookers could hear screams coming from the hotel ‘followed by a really loud bang’.

Flowers have since been laid at the site to remember the young life that has been lost.

Attached to one bouquet was a heartfelt note reading ‘Rest easy brother. Lots of love’.

The tragedy follows the death of Hamish Bidgood who last year fell to his death during Schoolies week.
