Uno has been rite of passage for many children growing up.
But it turns out we all might have been playing the popular game wrong.
A recent post on Facebook revealed the Draw 4 Wild Card can only be played if no other move can be made.
“So it’s taken me 35 years on this earth to realise that I’ve been playing Uno wrong since I was a kid.”
The Facebook added, “Did you all know that you can only play the Draw 4 Wildcard IF you have NO other cards that can be played??!”
But that’s not all. The user added, “If you suspect someone has illegally played this card, they have to show you their hand. AND if they, in fact, played the card illegally they must draw 4, but If not, the person who challenged the play must DRAW 6?”
This isn’t the first time a game has made headlines after an obscure rule came to light.
Earlier this year, one Twitter user had their mind blown after realising when playing Monopoly, properties can go to auction if they aren’t bought by the person who lands on them.
“When someone lands on a propertyin #Monopoly & they don’t buy it, IT GOES TO AUCTION for any player to buy. IT. IS. IN. THE. RULES, the tweet said.
So there you have it! Is there another game you discovered you’ve been playing wrong your whole life? Tell us in the comments!
