German supermarket chain Aldi recalled a range of hot dogs.
The NSW Food Authority issued the recall ordered the recall of Berg Smallgoods American Style Skinless Hot Dogs in a 375g plastic pack due to potential presence of bacteria and bone fragments.
“Consumers should not consume this product and should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund,” the warning said.
The reacall includes any packets with a use by date up to and including January 28, 2018.
A spokesman for Aldi said the company “was committed to providing its customers with safe products of the highest quality.”
“Aldi is conducting a close investigation with the supplier of the product and is collaborating with the NSW Food Authority,” he said.
Customers are advised to return the product to the store they were purchased from for a full refund.
