Kensington Palace has confirmed the time of and new details about the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry taking place on May 19.
Officials have confirmed the time of the wedding service, which will begin at 12 p.m. U.K. time, or 11 p.m. AEDT.
After exchanging vows, the newlyweds will ride in a horse-carriage through the streets of Windsor. The carriage procession will depart an hour later after the ceremony, at 12 a.m. AEDT.
“They hope this short journey will provide an opportunity for more people to come together around Windsor and to enjoy the atmosphere of this special day,” the statement from Kensington Palace reads.
Meghan and Harry will be be married by the Archbishop of Canterbury The Most Revd. and Rt Hon. Justin Welby at St. George’s Chapel.
After saying ‘I do’, guests will be invited to a reception at St. George’s Hall, and will be joined by Harry and Meghan after their horse-and-carriage ride.
Later in the evening there will be a private reception held by Prince Charles. The location has not yet been revealed.
