Convicted dog rapist Dean Anthony Sellenthin, 43, was charged with 221 offences – including bestiality and possessing child abuse images.

In July, he pleaded guilty to 96 charges committed between 2009 and 2017.

Sellenthin, of New South Wales, engaged in acts of bestiality with two dogs in the popular tourist spot of Byron Bay, according to court documents.

One was a female golden retriever and another was a black short-haired male dog called Bear.

Further charges include stalking or intimidation, procuring child abuse material, theft and aggravated break and enter.

He also admitted producing and possessing child abuse material and failing to comply with his reporting restrictions.

The Crown prosecutor in the case said they are yet to settle on a ‘statement of agreed facts’ which had caused a delay in sentencing.

‘The parties are still talking, and I expect there to be an agreement of facts soon,’ the Crown prosecutor said.

Sellenthin was ordered to remain in custody ahead of his sentencing on December 18.
