An eagle-eyed shopper at Woolworths has noticed that some new Lion King Ooshie collectables have been released by Woolworths in the form of an advent calendar.
Posting about her find on a Facebook page dedicated to buying, swapping and selling Ooshies, she said: ‘This isn’t for sale or trade I just wanted to share my lucky find.
‘Woolworths was very sneaky it seems and has released series two of the Lion King Ooshies today.
‘The minis are available to purchase as a complete set for $40 and the big Ooshies are $10 each, but stock is very limited.’
The new Ooshies are part of an advent calendar that has been discreetly released by Woolies.
Lion King Ooshies were first released earlier this year by the retailer and some of the rarer designs have since sold on austion sites for as much as $10,000.
This time around, all the original characters from The Lion King that have returned, in golden and translucent shades, with Scar, Simba, Pumbaa and Timon all available in the extra large size for $10.
A spokesperson for Woolworths said of the latest release: ‘We know Ooshies will continue to be a popular item for Christmas stockings this year and Woolworths are excited to offer a range of Ooshies available exclusively in our stores in the lead up to Christmas.
‘Starting this week, customers will be able to purchase a 24-pack Lion King Series 2 set. We also have XL Ooshie capsules from Frozen 2, Marvel and Star Wars starting from $4.’
