A woman who hacked into her boyfriend’s emails to find clues that he was planning to propose accidentally stumbled upon something truly disturbing.

The anonymous British woman was prying into her partner’s email account when she found he had attempted to hire strangers to rape her on Craigslist.

A friend shared the shocking story on Twitter, revealing how she came to find the terrifying correspondence.

‘My friend was with her ex-boyfriend for 4 years and had suspicions he was going to propose to her,’ the friend said.

‘She went on his phone looking for any ring confirmation emails and found weird messages [in] his inbox telling random people they could rape her.’

Sharing screenshots of the email, the subject line reads: ‘Man seeking woman for rape fantasy/rough sex meet.’

In a response to the advert, the woman’s boyfriend had written: ‘You can rape my girlfriend.’

He had also responded to other messages, offering his girlfriend up for sex.

The pair are no longer together.

‘He has been telling everyone they broke up because she was “insecure” and had “trust issues’”,’ the friend added.

The man has been charged by police, according to news.com.au.
