A mother-of-four who sexually abused her daughter’s school friends has been jailed.
Carol Lytle, aged 42, pleaded guilty to 21 charges last month, including sexual intercourse with a minor, oral copulation with a minor, contacting a minor for sex and showing porn to a child.
While the identity of her victims remain anonymous, the court heard that both of Lytle’s victims were students at Redwood High School in Visalia.
Aged just 14 and 15 at the time of the abuse, Lytle would collect the boys from parks or their homes without their parents knowledge and supplied them with alcohol and tobacco.
While it’s understood that both of her victims were friends of her daughter, she had met one of the boys through a church youth group. The two families became friends and even holidayed together once.
Lytle’s horrendous crimes were only discovered when one of the victim’s fathers discovered nude photographs she had sent to his son.
Speaking about the impact it had on his child, the father said his son had become depressed and withdrawn and was bullied at school.
One of the victims also reportedly told his parents he thought about killing himself.
After pleading guilty last month, Lytle was sentenced to four years in prison today.
Following the trial, one of the victim’s parents said ‘her going off to prison can’t change the damage she has done to my son. But watching her getting handcuffed is going to put a smile on my face.’
