When Kristan and Jason Norris had to face the devastating news that their rescue greyhound, Magnus, had cancer, they wanted to be sure he enjoyed his last days.
Making a bucket list, the Perth dog-lovers set about helping Magnus tick off each item, including having a professional photo shoot, swimming in the ocean, ordering at a drive-thru and eating fish and chips at the beach.
After uploading photos to their Instagram page, they were inundated with offers of support, including a kind man who took the beloved pooch for a ride in his Mustang and another who took Magnus for a paddle board ride.
The best surprise was from WA Police who took Magnus for a cruise in their car and their boat.
Amazingly, in eight weeks, Magnus managed to tick off 25 items from his list before it was sadly time to say goodbye.
Kristan told that’s life!, ‘Although it broke our hearts in two, we couldn’t bear to see him in pain.’
So his legacy can live fur-ever, Kristan hopes to release a children’s book about this very special pup.
