He was found guilty of indecent treatment of a child, but 64-year-old Gold Coast man Peter Andrews has walked free from prison due to his terminal cancer diagnosis.
Andrews was given a suspended sentence after he lured the little girl to his home with the promise of a puppy and video games, and sexually abused her.
He’s now back home, within metres of a childcare centre, to the dismay of the nine-year-old’s family.
Since his sentencing, Andrews wife, Heiki, has been caught on camera verbally attacking the child’s family and labelling her a ‘s**t.’
“You’re negligent parents, her parents didn’t care,” she says, in footage captured by 9 News. “That’s why she used to come over and stay.”
“She’s a s**t at 14 sleeping around, did she learn that off you?”
The victim’s grandmother told Channel 9, “he’s not a man, he’s an animal.”
The family have distributed leaflets around the area to warn other parents.
