The family were driving on the New South Wales south-coast when the accident occurred, which tragically took the life of Mobarrez’s wife Tamy.

The collision reportedly happened just minutes away from the scene of the deadly Boxing Day crash that killed the family of actress Jessica Falkholt, who is still clinging to life in hospital.

A fundraising page has since been set up for the Mobarrez family, with over $112,000 raised so far.

The page reads: ‘As you may have heard, Hamid and his family were involved in a tragic accident yesterday that took the life of his wife, Tamy.

‘Both Eli-Luca and Hamid are currently in hospital in a serious but stable condition. There will be a long time to recover from this tragic circumstance so we are asking you to dig deep and help raise some funds to help the convalescence.

‘Let’s all pull together and do what we can to help him and little Eli-Luca get well. Any help will be gratefully received.’

The other car involved in the crash was driven by a 39-year-old man who has since been charged.
