BREAKING: What really happened to Egg, the missing pug puppy

Owner’s story finally unravels.

The story of missing pug puppy, Egg, being stolen from his owner at knifepoint has finally given way to the truth.

After investigating the alleged robbery in which the dog’s owner’s backpack and wallet were also taken, police determined there had in fact been no robbery.

Charging the pup’s 29-year-old owner with making a false report, the search continued for Egg.

Today, 7 News reported police have confirmed that not only was there no robbery, but that the owner admitted the pug pup died after choking on a dog treat.

The owner will face court in April charged with making a false representation resulting in a police investigation.
