Big W has announced a two-day flash sale – only days after announcing it would be shutting stores due to falling sales.
The ‘Click Bonanza’ offers mammoth discounts on 2000 products across the Big W website, going live at 7am March 19.
The sale will run from 7am Tuesday March 19 until midnight Wednesday March 20, or until the stock has sold out.
Items such as homeware, electronics, clothing, kitchen and bathroom are all included in the two-day flash sale.
Sale items also include 25 per cent of all toys, the popular Dyson vacuum for only $349 and a Breville Nespresso machine for $169.
There is also 25 per cent off Barbie and Fisher-Price products, while you can pick up a baby t-shirt for only $1.
Products can be bought online and delivered to your home, or you can click to buy and collect in store.
It comes as Big W announced it was looking to shutter around 60 of its 183 locations.
Macquarie Wealth Management revealed the news in a client note last week, stating that they ‘may close’ 60 stores Australia-wide after losing $110 million last financial year and $8 million in the first half of 2019.
‘Given significant closure costs for the portfolio, a more likely scenario is Woolworths to close up to one-third of its stores (60 stores), in our view. This cost could be around $759 million.’
The company has not yet revealed which stores could be affected by the closures.
