You’ve never seen a HUNTSMAN spider this big before!
Meet Charlotte – a female hunstman spider who could easily be the largest of her kind ever photographed.
She was spotted crawling over a broom at Barnyard Betty’s Rescue – an animal rescue farm in Queensland who posted these photos to Facebook.
Despite their intimidating appearance, huntsman spiders are not a threat to humans. Their timid nature and non-toxic bite makes them very unlikely to attack unless provoked or protecting their eggs.

Comments on the farm’s Facebook post congratulate the farm for their compassionate treatment of the hulking arachnid – though we’re all happy to keep our distance for now!
