A mother has been captured on camera shockingly dragging her young child across the pavement.
The clip, which was posted to Twitter shows shoppers watching on in horror as the woman, who is believed to be the child’s mother seemingly drag the child behind her.
While disturbing, some have questioned whether or not the infant is actually real due to the child remaining still throughout the entire footage.
Liverpool Echo also pointed out that no shopper seemed to step in and stop the woman’s shocking actions.
One user said on social media: ‘Does not look like a child to me, looks like a dummy ……hope it’s not a child though.’
But despite the questionability of the video Joe Cain, the man who filmed the video has since spoken out and confirmed it is indeed real.
Cain said: ‘Basically, I was walking through town and the kid fell over and then the woman saw the kid had fallen but kept on walking.’
‘The kid seemed fine with everything to be honest, it was people who saw it that seemed worse off.’
