A young couple has tragically plunged more than 200 metres to their deaths while taking a selfie at Yosemite National Park in California.
According to Yahoo7, park rangers recovered the bodies of 29-year-old Vishnu Viswanath and 30-year-old Meenakshi Moorthy on Thursday about 245 metres below Taft Point, where visitors can walk to the edge of a granite ledge that doesn’t have a railing.
Chillingly, the young travel-obsessed couple had shared an eerie warning on social media just months earlier.
On March 28, Ms Moorthy posted a sunset image of herself sitting on the edge of the Grand Canyon on Instagram.
‘A lot of us including yours truly is a fan of daredevilry attempts of standing at the edge of cliffs and skyscrapers, but did you know that wind gusts can be FATAL?’ she wrote.
‘Is our life worth just one photo?’ she speculated.
