Police have launched an investigation into the case of a pregnant 11-year-old girl who is due to become Britain’s youngest mother.
Due to legal reasons, a lot of the details surrounding the pregnancy have not been revealed.
However police have confirmed the father of the baby is believed to be another minor just a few years older than the mother-to-be.
Statistics show the number of teengaers giving birth in UK has hit its lowest level in 70 years.
The current youngest mother to give birth in UK was in 2014 where the mother was 12 and the father was 13.
