Stephen J Burke, a musician aboard the ship, starts the video with photos of his normally idyllic room window before cutting to the mammoth swells, breaking waves, and howling winds just on the other side of the glass.

The ship was on its way to Florida and had cruised out into the Atlantic Ocean, but was forced to turn back when it hit 10-metre high waves and winds of almost 200 kph!

Daily Mail report that the storm was so violent that four passengers were injured.

The passengers were all offered refunds and discounted future trips.
