Police are investigating a mystery woman who is thought to have been living in the home of an elderly woman who passed away at the end of last year. Meanwhile the body was still inside the house, decomposing.
According to reports, an 81-year-old female resident of Bendigo in Victoria died sometime before Christmas, but her badly decomposed body was only just discovered.
Neighbours hadn’t worried as another woman had been coming and going from the house, putting bins out and walking the dog.
Investigators believe this unidentified woman has been living in the house since the owner’s death.
Seven News reports, a woman was taken away for questioning but has since been released.
