One lucky woman has had her day saved after a kind man found the thousands of cash that she left on public transport.
En Huynh was on her way to pay the $6000 that she owed for her late husband’s tombstone.
The Sydney pensioner had drawn out the wad of cash, which had taken her a year to save.
But in rush to get off the train, she left behind her handbag, along with the precious dosh.
En was so devastated about the forgotten money that her son Gilbert had to take a day off work to console her.
He told 7 News, ‘She was all over the shop, she was very distressed, she couldn’t even talk properly, she was sweating, not in a good state.’
But unbeknown to them, Adam Gashi stumbled upon the bag and did his own investigating.
Finding an address of En’s Parramatta home, he managed to track her down and return it to the very grateful owner.
A thankful Gilbert said, ‘We’re just so blessed, my mum is over the moon to be able to pay off the balance of my dad’s tombstone.’
