Chilling ‘double life’ of man who allegedly killed ex girlfriend is revealed

He is accused of suffocating her before dumping her body in the desert

An American man accused of suffocating his ex before dumping her body in the Nevada desert has allegedly confessed to the crime.

John Matthew Chapman, from Pennsylvania, USA, is said to have been leading a double life when he allegedly kidnapped Jaime Feden.

The 39-year-old is accused of bounding his former girlfriend’s feet and hands before covering her mouth and nose with duct tape.

Jaime, 33, had been missing for two months before the remains of a woman’s body were found in the desert last month.

Police in Nevada are now trying to identify the body found on October 5.

The description of the remains and markings on the body are said to match those of Jaime, according to investigators.

Chapman allegedly confessed to the crime to his wife of one year, Maureen.

Maureen told WXPI: “It’s sick. It’s really sick. I just want the truth as to what happened. I feel I’m owed that.”

Maureen claimed her husband told her he had killed Jaime after he was arrested by police.

Chapman is said to have lured Jaime into the desert for a photoshoot, according to police documents.

After the killing, he allegedly logged into Jaime’s phone, sending messages to her family in a bid to throw them off the scent.

Chapman has been charged with kidnapping, obstructing administration of law, and criminal use of a communication facility.

He has been held in custody awaiting his next court appearance.
