Video footage of a sea lion dragging a little girl into the water has gone viral just days after it was published.
In the video, captured by Michael Fujiwara, the sea lion is seen swimming around the harbour at Steveston Harbour in Richmond, Canada.
The girl sits on a wooden bench above the water when the sea lion lunges at her from below, pulling her into the harbour.
A man jumped in straight after to rescue the girl before they quickly got pulled up to safety.
Fujiwara, who filmed the incident, told CBC the pair left quickly after they got out of the water.
‘They were pretty shaken up. Her family were just in shock,’ he said.
