Horror in Berlin today after semi-trailer plowed through a Christmas market, leaving twelve people dead and more than 50 injured.
Police says first indications suggest a deliberate attack on the market at Breitscheidplatz, near the well-known Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, after a large, 18-wheel truck slammed into crowds gathering at the traditional market, which sells Christmas wares.
The driver, who reportedly attempted to flee the scene has since been arrested. A passenger in the truck is deceased.
